Weight Loss and Whole Body Vibration Exercise

Your metabolism gets an instant boost with Whole Body Vibration, up to a whopping 18%! The rapid vibrations cause your lean muscles to contract involuntarily, which in turn, burns calories and eventually burns fat. Your muscles burn calories continuously, even after you finish exercising. So the higher your metabolic rate, the more calories you'll continue to burn even at rest.

You should gradually increase the usage of the vibration machine in order to increase the number of calories burned. If you're targeting weight loss, you'll want to use Vibration Exercise 3-4 times a day, whereas once a day or every other day is sufficient for general health and fitness. But don't just focus on weight loss. Remember, you're working your lean muscles, and muscles weigh more than fat. It may happen that you don't show any weight loss, or may even gain some weight during the first month or two of vibration exercise. However, you probably will notice a change in your body shape. Be sure to take measurements when you begin, as many people observe loss in inches rather than pounds.

One user said she was using the Vibration Exercise Machine 3-4 times a day for 6 weeks and was disappointed she hadn't lost any weight. When asked if she'd lost any inches, she said "Oh yes, I've lost 2 inches on my waist and 1-2 inches on my thighs". Little did she realize, this was exactly the kind of weight loss desired...losing fat (and toxins), while gaining muscle tone and strength. Isn't that healthier than a crash diet that puts your body into starvation mode, while doing nothing to strengthen or renew it?

Because Whole Body Vibration is strength training exercise (comparable to weight lifting), it is ideal to get cardio-vascular exercise as well in order to increase your heart rate and burn more calories. Resistance training builds your muscle and strength and tone, while cardio-vascular increases your endurance. As Dr. Oz commented, one of the reasons Westerners die from cancer at such an alarming rate is because of weakness in the body and thus an inability to fight the disease, or endure the treatment. Populations in the world today who naturally get vigorous cardio activity in their daily routine, as well as some strength building from lifting, have the lowest rates of disease and highest longevity. So in addition to using Whole Body Vibration, take a brisk walk or jog, or walk uphill, or use a treadmill. You can even add a cardio component to your Vibration Exercise routine by including stepping or lunges or squats, rather than just holding static exercise positions.

Remember, the benefits of Vibration Exercise Therapy are far more reaching than weight loss and muscle strengthening. It is also used by fitness trainers and health professionals for strength training, bone strengthening, rehabilitation, in range of motion, metabolic advantages, fall prevention, pain relief and neurological conditions.
