My Calorie Counter Is A Lifesaver!

Completely revamping your daily menu can be a daunting task especially if you are not accustomed to monitoring what you eat. That is why my calorie counter is a lifesaver and has truly helped me adopt the mindset of eating healthy choices and meals that are appropriately portion sized.

Take a moment to reflect on your current health and weight condition. Is losing weight a priority to you? Have you been unsuccessful in the past at becoming more fit? Possibly you have gained weight over the years attributed to eating fast food far too often every week, and are determined to make an actual change for the better.

Regardless of your reason, when you decide that losing weight is priority number one, the first step to take is to focus on the food you eat on a daily basis. This is specifically where my calorie counter is a lifesaver because it helps take away the mystery of what is in each and every meal that's set in front of me.
The point of this exercise is not for you to become a professional dietician and memorize the nutritional content of every item in your kitchen. That is not our goal here whatsoever. The reason why my calorie counter is a lifesaver is that it forces you to focus on each and every single thing you put in your mouth all day long. Instead of approaching the idea of eating healthy as a broad topic, focusing on individual healthy items will add up to an entire day that's nutritious and fulfilling.

Ways to Stop Drinking Soda

Soda is one of those things that we tend to take for granted nowadays. Only a few generations ago, someone in the family would have actually made up any soda that we drank from the raw ingredients (remember how gram's lemonade was always the best?) but nowadays we rely on large corporations to do all the hard work. Here's some ideas on how you can cut down on the soda you drink so you can return to being healthier without all that sugar or those artificial sweeteners being added to your body.

1. Go cold turkey

If you're used to swilling down gallons of soda, this probably isn't the best choice. But for low to moderate soda drinkers just stopping drinking soda is a relatively easy thing to do. Make sure you have a glass or bottle of water close at hand and go for a swig of that each time you'd previously have reached for the soda. Not only will this be healthier but it will likely quench your thirst more than soda ever did.

Deadly Sugary Drinks for Women

Most restaurants do not offer an entree of 25 packs of sugar. It just is not on the menu. Shouldn't it be on the menu if consumers throw down more sugar than just 25 packs in a usual day? It may sound absurd, but consumers are downing this much sugar in as much as one soft drink. The health factors of sugar have been crammed down our throats for decades, but there is a new fear stemming from sugar intake that not many people had brought to the table.

This fear focuses on women's intake of sugary drinks. Drinking two or more sugary drinks each day puts women at a very large risk for high triglycerides and diabetes as well as lowers good cholesterol. Sugary drinks are easy to stack up on each day. The woman may chug an energy drink or coffee filled with sugar and cream in the morning then a soda with lunch and sugary fruit juice with dinner. Though the woman may not feel she is overindulging on sugar the body is being attacked by sugar particles threatening her health.
